It's Gonna Be a Bumpy Ride!

Cue the Harry Potter theme music because...that's all we did all weekend!  I am somewhat proud embarrassed to say we might have watch the first 5 (and started the 6th) Harry Potter movies this weekend.  It was great!

Friday night, we actually did something productive, and drove down to Cool Springs and grabbed some dinner at Chuy's.  After dinner we ran by the mall (The Limited had a 50% off sale) and then ran by Barnes and Noble to catch up on the latest fantasy football magazine. (You're welcome, Grant!)

Saturday we woke up noticed the 1st Harry Potter was playing on ABC Family.  After it was over, we decided we should probably watch the 2nd one, and then it all went downhill from there.  I did get out of the house to run to Target and the grocery.  Weekends at home mean I have time to cook, so I spent all Saturday night, while the movies were on, fixing some delicious goodies!

You can call me Betty Crocker from now on - Homemade guacamole dip, homemade peanut butter ice cream, and the Cheesecake Factory's Louisiana Chicken Pasta (homemade of course) Yum!

We got into terrible sleeping patterns this weekend, so Sunday we slept in and went to the 11:00 service at church.  Great sermon...great worship...love our church in Nashville!  We came home, ate leftovers, and then back to Harry Potter movies!  We did finally move from the couch again and went to Curt and Lindsey's for some dessert and card games later that night!

Overall we had a great, fun relaxing weekend at home.  I love those random weekends where we end up just hanging out, cooking, and doing whatever we want!

Baby Moss Gender Reveal!

This weekend we got to celebrate with Megan and Tyler as they found out the gender of their sweet baby coming in December!  So, we headed to KY on Friday night and spent the weekend with family, friends, and celebrating baby!

After a full day of swimming on Saturday, that night we headed to Monty and Gwen's house for the gender reveal party.  Megan had done a great job decorating!  Everything looked so cute!

The cake came all the way from St Louis and it was delish!

Cupcakes!

 Candy table

I went with girl, even though I thought it was a boy, for Megan!

Once everyone got there, we ate, visited, played corn hole, and waited for it to get dark.  They had pink or blue fireworks ready to reveal what the baby was.  Megan and Tyler had the ultrasound done on Tuesday and then had to wait until Saturday at the party to find out!  I don't know how they ever made it!

Cute baby bump!

She barely even looks pregnant!

Fireworks went off and it's a....

 BOY!

If you get to know Megan for more than 5 minutes, you will find out pretty quickly that she likes food and she loves bacon!  So, I had to get baby boy this onesie...

"I heart Bacon!"

So happy for two of our best friends and thankful that we got to be there to celebrate with them!

GloRun Fun!!

What a fun weekend we had!  I couldn't have been more ready for Friday night to come.  After a long week at work, my cube was about to make me go insane!  My mom came into town on Friday night, so we got to spend some time with her eating at Macaroni Grill and shopping at Opry Mills.  Thanks Mom for the new clothes! :)

Saturday morning we woke up early to take Mom to meet the Nashville gang.  They are spending the week in Florida for their yearly vacation.  After we dropped her off and said goodbye, Grant and I headed to Bowling Green to watch Gabbi and the Magic play in the state softball tournament.  After one rough game on Saturday, they ended up winning the whole thing on Sunday!  Unfortunately we had to leave early Saturday to get back to Nashville, meet up with the Parker's, and run the GloRun!

We love when the Parker's come to visit!  The whole family came down and brought Karson with them to run!  There were probably 10-15,000 people there running.  It was crazy, but so much fun!  I haven't exactly been in marathon running mode lately, so Taylor, Peyton, and I stayed together.  Luckily for me, Peyton hasn't ran in like 5 years, so she provided plenty of entertainment while we were running.  When she could get words out they went something like...This is terrible. Why did no one warn me about this.  Is it over yet? etc... haha!  She did great, though, and we finished in about 40 min.

All of the runners before the race.

So glad Karson got to tag along!

Guess who's shoes are who's?!

They had tunnels every so often during the course with fluorescent lights so we would "Glo"

Almost finished!

We didn't have time to eat before the race, so we headed for a midnight snack at Applebee's on our way home!  We spent the rest of the night rubbing butter on Dax's legs to try to get the glow paint out of his leg hairs...yuck!

Sunday we slept in after being up so late, went to Bojangles for the first time for lunch, headed to the mall for a bit, and then said goodbye to the Parker's.  Its always so hard after having a house full all weekend to see everyone go.  Boo for living in Nashville!  After a little nap we met up with Curt and Lindsey, headed to church, and then finished the night playing games!

We had a great, busy weekend spending time with friends and family. Yay for people coming to visit!

Baby Harvey

Last night Lori, Anna, and I got to take a meal to Whitney and see her sweet baby!  So fun!

Harvey was born on June 25th and weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs 6 oz!  We took them over Los Palmas (duh!) and got to visit with them for a couple of hours.  Whitney is doing great, and Harvey is precious!  Loved getting to catch up with Whitney and Joesph, meet little Harvey, and hang with Anna and Lori!

Isn't he sweet?!

4th of July Fun!

This year we spent the 4th at Gran and Poppa's pool eating, swimming, relaxing, and having fun with family!  Grant and I woke up Thursday morning (the 4th) to a rainy, cloudy Nashville.  We were afraid that our pool plans would be ruined, but as we got closer to KY, the sun started to come out a little! Yay!  Part of Poppa's family was in town for the week, so we all met over at the pool, swam, and then had an early supper with everyone!

 Lot's of swimming going on!

After we ate and swam for awhile, we all got dressed and headed over to Calvert City for the fireworks.

Pre Fireworks Pics...
 Celebrating the 4th!

 Love my Karson!

Karson was our child for the weekend and spent the night with us every night! Loved it!

Some of the girls.  Betty and Klein were on a church camping trip.

The past three or four years we have been in Destin for July 4th.  This year we went earlier due to Grant's rotation schedule, so after seeing the fireworks from the beach the past few years, Calvert City really needs to step up their firework display!  Even though the fireworks only lasted about five minutes it seemed, it was still fun to get outside with the family!

The Lovett's were in Chicago for the 4th, so since we missed them so much we decided to leave them a present for when they got back.  A local real estate agent had left flags in every ones yards as an advertisement, and we thought it would be so Patriotic to take a few over to the Lovett's house for when they got home.  So on Saturday night we went around Benton and just gathered up a few.  A few flags quickly turned into going through three neighborhoods and actually gathering 119 flags!  Grant, Karson, and I placed them all over their yard so they wouldn't feel left out when they got home!  Party in the USA!

The pictures don't do the yard justice.  There were flags everywhere! HA!

We had been to a nice dinner that night, so we were running around Benton at midnight stealing flags...in Spanx and skinny jeans! HA!

Thanks Crystal for the flags! :)

Love getting to spend the holidays with family and making such fun memories!

Happy Fourth of July!!

Bucky's in Kentucky!

This weekend flew by!  I am not excited to be back at work on Monday.  Luckily, 4th of July is on Thursday, and I will be working from KY on Friday, so only a three day work week for me!

Friday night we headed to KY after work because Bucky was coming! Who hoo!  Kem and Ray had been in Ocean City with Courtney, George, and Clay for the week and were headed home on Friday night with Clay.  They should have been back in KY around 5ish, but their plane was delayed due to weather for about 4 hours!  We beat them there and headed straight to Walker's 8th birthday party at the Benton City Pool.  We got there right at the end, and just in time to say happy birthday.  We then headed over to the Lovett's to spend some time with them while we waited on Clay.  We played with Izzy, picked up Tucker, and then headed to Kem and Ray's around 11:30 Friday night.  They had just gotten home!  As soon as we walked in the door, Kem told us that something was wrong with the well, and we had no water!  No flushing the toilets, no water to brush teeth, and no water to take a shower.  Fun!

Clay had a little upset stomach on Saturday morning...No water = poop in the yard! HA!

Kem stayed back and waited for the plumber and electricians, while Grant, Tucker, Clay and I headed to the pool!

We had to stop and get Tucker a bathing suit at his house, so of course we had to play with Izzy while we were there!

Walker was so excited that Clay was coming to swim.  After we swam for a while, and the water at Kem and Ray's got fixed (hallelujah!) we met back up with Kelly and Jason and headed to Murray to eat and see Monster's University with the boys.  They got to pick were we ate supper, so of course they picked August Moon Chinese Buffet.  Can't beat a good chinese buffet :) We had a fun Saturday night out with the boys, and the movie was pretty good too!

Sunday, we went to church and then went to ate at Cracker Barrel (where else would we go?!)
On our way home from eating

We spent the rest of the afternoon checking on the garden and the cows, and then back to Gran's pool to get in some more swimming.  Clay loves to swim!  On our way out of town Sunday night, we stopped at Belew's with Kurt, Tracey, Karson, Kem and Ray, and the Lovetts.  You just can't beat a Belew's cheeseburger and hot fudge shake on a summer night!

The weekend went by way to quickly, but thankfully we will be back in KY with both my family and Grant's family for the holiday weekend.  My mom, sister, and Corynne are coming to town! yay!  Poppa's family is also in town for the holiday.  Expecting another crazy, busy, fun few days to come!  Grant is starting rotation number 2 today!  One down, nine to go!

PS More random outtakes from the weekend...
